Activities in the Northeast in December 2010
A training workshop for 24 newly identified parents of the deaf children in Nalbari district was organized on 21 and 22 of December 2010 in collaboration with Sarothi, an NGO in Assam.
A parent’s need workshop was conducted in Swabalambi, our partner organisation in Dimoria block of Assam. The workshop aimed at understanding the needs and challenges faced by the parents in that particular area. 19 parents and 4 CBR workers attended this program.
A sensitisation cum awareness workshop was organized on 15 and 16 December at Ferrando Integrated Women Development Centre in Aizawl, Mizoram. About 47 link workers of FIWDC who cover around 100 villages of Aizawl were oriented on issues around deafness.
