Activities in the Northeast in November
A VAANI team visited the partners in the 3 States in the Northeast to review the work done at the end of one year of partnership.
A follow-up training programme was conducted in November for families from Kahilipara, Guwahati in Assam. This follow up was recommended by the parents themselves, as they were keen to get more inputs from VAANI on how to teach their child.
Two awareness programme were conducted in the interiors of Meghalaya, one in Mawsynram and the other iin Pala, Sutnga, Jaintia Hills. The objective of these workshops was to create awareness in the general community on deafness as an invisible disability, its causes, importance of early identification and precautions.
