Awareness programme at Sarala Birla School, Guwahati
A VAANI team visited Sarala Birla School, Guwahati for an awareness programme on deafness for a group of 25 students who wish to start a club working on issues around deafness.The children were taught a few basic signs and all the attendees expressed a desire to be taught the rudiments of sign language. The school will make a special effort to highlight issues around childhood deafness during World Deaf Week in the last week of September,
