Muktadhara - Fact finding visit
The VAANI team visited Muktadhara, an organisation working with disabilities in the Hooghly District of West Bengal. Their activities are in the rural areas with the children and youth with disabilities. The approach of the organisation is Community Based Rehabilitation to integrate the rural poor and all persons with disabilities into mainstream society by making the best use of local and available resources. VAANI plans to conduct a workshop for the professionals associated with the organisation in December.
