World Deaf Week



School awareness programme

In celebration of World Deaf Week, VAANI, Deaf Children’s Foundation team visited schools and addressed the students. The objective of these visits was to spread awareness among school children about the issues that a deaf person faces when interacting with peers who can hear. The VAANI team included young deaf adults who interacted with the enthusiastic audience and shared some of their experiences. Encouraged by the response from the schools’ authorities and the students, VAANI hopes to continue these awareness programmes in schools throughout the year.
