VAANI works with local organisations in different States of India to support a range of different initiatives. We focus on building the capacity of organisations working specifically with deaf children and their families as well as of organisations working on cross-disability issues. VAANI enters into a formal partnership with some of these organisations to support long-term projects. All projects supported by VAANI show a close fit to our organisational aims. VAANI currently works with local NGOs and some Government bodies on projects in Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Maharashtra and West Bengal. We have technical links with NGOs in Gujarat and Karnataka.

Our partnerships are of two types - regular and technical.

In West Bengal we work with CINI-Asha and Pandua Pratibandhi Kalyan Samity.

In Assam, we have a partnership with Swabalambi and provide training to SSA workers in the State, along with Government agencies.

In Meghalaya, we have a partnership with the Ferrando Centre for Speech and Hearing and School and Centre for Hearing Handicapped Children.

In Mizoram, we have 2 partners -  Spastic Society of Mizoram and   FIWD Centre Peace Home.

In Maharashtra, we assisted Save The Children India with their Early Identification and Intervention Project, Dhwani.

In Gujarat, we have a technical partnership with SGB Vidyavihar in Nadiad and Umang in Ahmedabad.

In Karnataka, we have worked with Association of People with Disability, Samuha Samarthya. and B D Thatti Memorial, Gadag.
