VAANI provides them with the technical skills, standardized curriculum, and support necessary to work effectively with deaf children. This enables these organizations to improve their educational interventions, ensuring deaf children can successfully navigate their school education.
A key component of our Educational Intervention Program is assessing the child's current level of functioning. Based on the assessment results, we set long-term and short-term goals and plan specific activities and teaching strategies to achieve these targets. Our special educators create an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) tailored to each deaf child's unique needs, ensuring a customized approach to their development and learning journey.
Our approach to teaching deaf children follows a combined total communication method, which incorporates various techniques to facilitate learning. This method focuses on visual communication, auditory skills, speech reading, tactile-visual cues, gestures, and other strategies based on the child’s preferences, learning needs, and home environment.
By tailoring the communication approach to each child and family, we aim to optimize educational outcomes and ensure effective engagement and holistic development of the child.
